The Search for an E-Reader

with 2 comments

After spending a lot of time on the internet, I have winnowed down my list of potential e-readers to salivate over to the following three:

  1. The IREX DR800SG: Wacom Tablet and e-reader in one package
  2. plastic Logic Que: Light weight and futuristic
  3. Amazon Kindle 2: Readily Available and cheap

My personal requirements for an e-reader would be something that enables me to read a lot of academic papers without having to make the Schwarzwald vanish in a Schwarzschild radius.

  1. The Amazon Online Reader is a sleek and slim light weight ergonomic design e book that fits in ones hand like a light weight magazine.

I felt the Sony e reader and the Nook, nothing compares to the way the Kindle Reader has one involved in the Authors work…the mechanics of it disappears leaving nothing but a good read.

    • That is all well and good, but is it usefull to an academic who wants to read a lot of technical papers?
